Golden Beaded Necklace

…as sung by Spandau Ballet in 1983! Whilst never going out of fashion Gold has nevertheless made a massive comeback in the last year and is no longer the premise of the ‘older woman’.  However, it’s an expensive metal and we often have to settle for gold plate or base metal to achieve the effect.

This simple, plaited necklace is a very affordable way to achieve a rich and opulent look.  It is made of gold colour seed beads threaded onto wire and attached with a gold tone lobster claw clasp.  Reminiscent of an Ancient Egyptian collar, the necklace can be worn at the base of the neck or slightly lower using the extender chain.
