Simple, subtle, seductive – this beautiful necklace will attract those who are drawn to the myths and legends surrounding Burmese Jadeite.  Said to bring happiness, positive energy and good fortune this stone has long been a favourite in the Far East.  

These graduated Jadeite beads have been carefully ombréd to emphasise the different shades of green, the lightest of which is a central 12mm round with sterling silver beads on each side. The clasp is a 925 sterling silver lobster claw.

Jadeite is part of the Jade family – its sister being Nephrite – and has long been revered in the Far East. It is very tough and has lent itself to exquisite carvings. Myanmar (Burma) is the main source of Jadeite and much of it is exported to the Chinese market.
